 What are pimples?

Pimples are that type of skin condition in which the increased presence of inflamed oil glands and pimple-causing bacteria can be found on the skin. It appears on the surface of the skin in small growth. Acne caused pimples it is mostly present on the face, chest, shoulders and the upper back. Pimples can be a type of acne.

Pimples mainly affect adults and caused due to some hormonal changes. Most of it occurs at the age of 20 or 30 in adults and sometimes may be beyond. It is very commonly found in nearly everyone according to the research.

Sometimes, it can affect babies. It can be present on every part of the face like the nose, cheeks, chin, forehead, and close lips.

It will not affect physical health but it can be upset psychological. Sometimes having a fear of judgement by society and very closed people. Own perspective and behaviour can be affected due to it. Then it is caused stress, anxiety, frustration, depression and some suicidal thoughts. Just start hating yourself just because having the fear of judgement

Types:

There are some types of pimples. which is helpful to identify which type of pimples you have.

• A papule is a type which appears as small bumps and may feel warm the to touch and be painful.

• Blackhead is a type in which open pores occur on the skin that contains dead skin and excessive oil in it. But it seems like a dark spot in the bump. But these dark spots are actually caused due to irregular light reflection off the clogged follicle.

• Whitehead is a type in which these bumps also contain excessive oil and dead skin but appear in white or yellowish colour.

• The nodule is a type in which they appear in a rounded shape and sometimes in a mess shape ( groundless). They can be deeply in the skin and often painful.

• A pustule is a type in which pimples are filled with pus. It Should not be scratched and picked because it may be leave mark on the skin.

• A cyst is a type in which a pimple is filled with thick white or yellow fluid. This fluid contains dead white blood cells and small pieces of tissue and bacteria that are caused by cysts. It caused scars.

Causes:

• due to the stress 
• maybe due to the family history ( that from your parents and family) 
• due to the use of oily material in food 
• maybe the keratin abnormal formation 
• can be found in bacteria 
• sometimes menstruation disturbance or problem 
• due to hormonal changes in adults
• Excess sunlight can be caused
• lack of sleep 

How to reduce pimples: 

• Azelaic acid is a very beneficial and natural acid. It should be used in daily routine. It is present in the grains e.g. wheat, barley and rye. It kills microorganisms and reduces swelling on the skin.
• Benzoyl peroxide is present as an over the conduct product. Irritating skin problems can be reduced with low concentrations and wash formulations.
• Retinoids prove helpful against clogged pores. The daily use of Retinoids or at the same time can reduce this type of problem and side effects.

• Salicylic acid proves beneficial and available over the counter as a pimples lotion and moisturizer. It acts against dead cells.

Treatments:

There are some treatments which are proven helpful.

• Light therapy mostly proves helpful in that case. But it requires multiple visits to your doctor.
• Chemical peels contain repeated procedures of a chemical solution e.g. glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and retinoic acid. It is used for mild acne. It improves the skin, and this improvement is not long-lasting mostly repeated treatments are required.
• Drainage and extraction is a treatment in which doctors may have some special tools to remove whiteheads, blackheads and cysts gently. It improves your skin temporarily but it can cause scars on the skin.
• Steroid injection in which nodular and cystic lesions are treated with the help of injecting a steroid drug in them. It rapidly improves skin and decreases pain. Its side effects can be the declaration in the treated area and skin thinning.
